East Midlands Railway between London St Pancras International and Derby / Nottingham / Sheffield / Leeds

Thameslink between Brighton / Three Bridges and Bedford also between Sutton and Luton

Engineering work is taking place between London St Pancras International and Luton resulting in the closure of some lines.

East Midlands Railway

There will be a reduced and amended service running all weekend. Journey times will be extended.

Some services will make additional calls at Luton Airport Parkway, Bedford, Wellingborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Loughborough, Beeston or Long Eaton.

On Sunday, services between London St Pancras and Corby will run between Kettering and Corby only.


From the beginning of service on Saturday, and until 03:15 on Sunday:

  • Trains between Bedford and Gatwick Airport / Brighton will run to an amended timetable.
  • Trains from St Albans to Sutton via Mitcham Junction will run from Luton instead of St Albans.
  • Trains from Luton to Sutton via Wimbledon will start from London Blackfriars.
  • Trains from Sutton to Luton via Mitcham Junction will terminate at London Blackfriars.
  • Trains from Sutton to St Albans via Wimbledon will terminate at Luton.

Until 23:00 on Saturday, trains that usually run between St Albans and Rainham will run between Kentish Town and Rainham only. After 23:00 until 03:15 on Sunday, no trains will run to / from Rainham.

Between 00:40 and 08:50 on Sunday, trains between Cricklewood and Mill Hill Broadway will be subject to extended journey times.
