Description

Thameslink are running a reduced service in line with government advice, passenger demand and staffing availability.

From today, train services and times will change on some routes as Thameslink respond to the continuing effects of coronavirus. These changes will affect trains on Monday to Friday only. There are no changes to the weekend timetable. A summary of the changes can be found below:

Between Sutton and St Albans via Wimbledon and via Hackbridge:

  • One train per hour will run via Wimbledon and one train per hour will run via Hackbridge. This will create a two trains per hour service between Streatham and St Albans.

Between Bedford and Gatwick Airport via Redhill:

  • Trains on the route between Bedford and Gatwick Airport via Horley, Salfords, Earlswood and Redhill will not run. Alternative trains will call at Earlswood and Salfords hourly throughout the day. (Trains that run between Bedford and Brighton will continue to run.)

This will mean a reduced service from Bedford to London with two services between Bedford, London and Brighton running per hour. During the peak hours there are extra trains that will still run during this amended timetable.

You can find further information regarding this timetable here and Journey Planners are expected to be showing these timetables around 7 days in advance.

Face coverings advice:

From Monday 19 July, restrictions in England have changed. In crowded places, please wear a face covering (unless exempt) out of respect of others and please be considerate of other passengers and rail staff.

Please be aware that if you are using TfL (Transport for London) services for any part of your journey, it remains mandatory to wear a face covering (unless exempt).
