Industrial action to affect some regional East Midlands Railway services every Sunday until 15 August

Some East Midlands Railway regional services

As a result of strike action being taken by Senior Conductors who are members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) there will be a small number of cancellations to East Midlands Railway regional services every Sunday until 15 August.

The strikes will affect only a handful of regional services and will have no impact on Intercity or Connect services. Trains to and from London St Pancras International are not affected.

The following trains will be cancelled and replaced by buses:

  • 08:25 Nottingham to Derby
  • 10:12 Derby to Nottingham
  • 19:32 Lincoln to Nottingham
  • 09:03 Grantham to Nottingham
  • 11:40 and 19:45 Newark North Gate to Lincoln
  • 11:06 and 19:15 Lincoln to Newark North Gate
  • 09:12 and 19:12 Nottingham to Mansfield Woodhouse
  • 09:56 Mansfield Woodhouse to Nottingham


Additionally, trains on the Liverpool Lime Street - Norwich route will be altered to run between Sheffield and Norwich only. For travel between Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield, you may use other operators services. Some trains on this route will be revised not to call at Ilkeston or Langley Mill and may depart earlier from Alfreton and Chesterfield.
