Description

The Coronavirus pandemic (and more recently the Omicron variant) has had a significant impact on the London Northwestern Railway workforce meaning more of staff are having to self-isolate. Whilst every effort has been made to run the planned train service, there will be some changes on the Abbey Line and Marston Vale Line until further notice.

How does this affect my journey?

Buses will replace all trains on the Abbey Line (between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey).

Buses will replace all trains on the Marston Vale Line (between Bedford and Bletchley). Please note, there is no Sunday service on this route.

The bus timetables can be downloaded here.

Why have these changes been made?

The purpose of these changes is to provide a robust and reliable rail replacement service, and allowing train crew resources to be focused on operating trains that are typically used by a greater number of passengers.
