Description

Engineering work is taking place between Abercynon and Merthyr Tydfil, closing all lines.

The lines between Abercynon and Merthyr Tydfil will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday. Services between Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil will terminate at Pontypridd,  where you should change for rail replacement bus services running every 30 minutes daytime Saturday and hourly on Sunday.

If you are travelling from Merthyr Tydfil and intermediate stations, you  will need to travel earlier to connect with the trains at Pontypridd.
