Traveling on the Rhymney Line?

Saturday 19 July - Sunday 31 August

We’ll be carrying out engineering work for 6 weeks. Closures will take place and rail replacement buses will be in operation between Caerphilly and Rhymney, with a normal rail service in operation from Caerphilly into Cardiff, and onwards to Penarth, Barry Island and Bridgend. Rail services will run as normal on Friday 1 August for an event at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Using pay as you go? You can tap on and off at Caerphilly station. Look out for our staff, who will have mobile machines on hand to help. Simply tell them which station you're traveling to and from.

Rail replacement bus stop

Due to local road works, the rail replacement bus stop has been relocated temporarily. Towards Cardiff, same side as the station, temporary bus stop on Merchant St, near the junction with Stuart St. Towards Rhymney, temporary bus stop on the B4257, near the railway bridge.
