South Bank (SBK)

Platform 2 is closed - eastbound service (towards Saltburn) are unable to call

There is an unsafe footbridge at South Bank which means that trains are currently unable to call at platform 2 at this station. Trains running from Middlesbrough towards Saltburn will not call at South Bank.

To assist customers to complete their journey, a shuttle bus has been provided between Middlesbrough, South Bank and Redcar Central, in this direction only.

Customers at South Bank travelling towards Saltburn should board the shuttle bus and then connect at Redcar Central for Northern services towards Saltburn, or catch a train service to Middlesbrough, and then board a return train service for stations to Saltburn. Trains in the opposite direction from Redcar Central towards Middlesbrough are able to run normally.
