When in Norwich

Formerly a palace built by the Normans 900 years ago, Norwich Castle is now a museum and art gallery displaying an incredible collection of artworks, archaeological finds and treasures from the past. A great place to visit with the kids, especially on a rainy day.

If you’re blessed with fantastic weather, there are a number of parks and gardens scattered around to be discovered. The Plantation Garden is a 100-year old Grade II English Heritage listed garden and is open all year round with events happening on a regular basis - a must for nature lovers and picnic-goers.

As well as the usual high street retailers in the area, Norwich Lanes is the place to go for more unique finds and independent shops and cafes. For the ultimate shopping experience, Jarrolds is Norwich’s own independent department store operating since 1823 and consists of five floors with three restaurants, a cafe, even a hair salon and beauty rooms!
