Description

The London North Eastern Railway (LNER) Family Single provides a single price for a small group of up to two adults and four children, to travel onboard LNER services only. The product is sold subject to availability, on a first-come, first-served basis, and seats are reserved for the whole party.

These tickets are available at any National Rail staffed ticket office, train company telesales office, online via most train company and third party websites, selected ticket vending machines and rail appointed travel agents.

Pre-booking Requirement

Tickets must be purchased at least 7 days in advance of travel and are subject to availability. Tickets are generally available up to 12 weeks before travel, but will not be available in the extended booking horizon.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) Family Single tickets are only valid on the LNER services shown on the ticket, and are non-changeable and non-refundable once purchased. These tickets are not valid on the services of any other operator.

These tickets cover a minimum group of 1 Adult and 1 Child or a maximum group of 2 Adults and 4 Children (aged 0-15 years). Children aged under 5 can be included as part of the overall group booked and therefore reserved a seat. Up to two children aged under 5 can otherwise travel unreserved for free with each booked adult, and may occupy a seat providing it is not required by another fare-paying customer.

Special conditions applicable to the network area

The group size must match the specified group shown on the ticket. Passengers must travel as per the specified journey, date and time shown on the ticket, and sit in the seats allocated. No further discounts are available.

Break Of Journey

Customers must not break their journey, i.e. they may not start, break/resume, or end their journey at any intermediate station en route. Customers risk being denied entry or exit at those stations or being charged for a new fare.

Customers are permitted to interchange at intermediate stations to/from valid connecting services.
