The Valley Lines Senior Railcard offers 50% off Standard Day Return standard class rail fares on the Valley Lines after 09.29. The Railcard is available to anyone aged 60 or over.
Further information
As an alternative to the Valleys Senior Railcard, Transport for Wales now also offer a 34% discount on the same routes for customers presenting a Concessionary Card provided by their local council. These are available to buy on the train and at any staffed station on the Cardiff Valley Lines network.
The discount is valid all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. On Mondays to Fridays after 09:29.
