Valid for use on all Transport for Wales Valley Lines services within the valid time period (all stations between Cardiff Central and: Cardiff Bay, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Treherbert, Coryton, Radyr (City Line), Barry Island, Penarth, Maesteg and Ebbw Vale).
Not valid on services between Cardiff Central and Newport to Cheltenham.

As an alternative to the Valleys Senior Railcard, Transport for Wales now also offer a 34% discount on the same routes for customers presenting a Concessionary Card provided by their local council. These are available to buy on the train and at any staffed station on the Cardiff Valley Lines network.
The discount is valid all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. On Mondays to Fridays after 09:29.
