Wednesday 24 December
Amended and reduced service, plus trains will finish earlier than normal
An amended and reduced service will run on all Great Northern (and Thameslink) routes until the early evening when services will start to shut down.
Great Northern services will finish earlier than normal on Christmas Eve. Trains on all routes will finish by around 21:00, but on some routes this may be much earlier.
Thursday 25 December - Christmas Day
No service
There will be no Great Northern services on Christmas Day.
Friday 26 December - Boxing Day
No service
There will be no Great Northern services on Boxing Day.
Saturday 27 December
Buses replace trains between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North
Due to engineering work closing lines in the Cambridge area, rail replacement buses will run between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North.
A revised train service will operate between London Kings Cross and Royston and also between Cambridge North and Kings Lynn.
Sunday 28 December
Buses replace trains between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North
Due to engineering work closing lines in the Cambridge area, rail replacement buses will run between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North.
A revised train service will operate between London Kings Cross and Royston and also between Cambridge North and Kings Lynn.
Early morning service changes between London Kings Cross and Welwyn Garden City / Hertford North
Before 08:30, due to early morning engineering work, buses will replace trains between Finsbury Park and New Barnet / Welwyn Garden City / Gordon Hill / Hertford North, calling at all stations except Harringay and Hornsey. For Harringay and Hornsey, you can use paper rail tickets at no extra cost on London Buses to complete your journey.
If you're travelling between London Kings Cross and Finsbury Park, paper rail tickets will be accepted on London Underground services between those stations at no extra cost.
Late night service changes between London Kings Cross and Welwyn Garden City
After 23:30, due to late night engineering work, buses will replace trains between Finsbury Park and Welwyn Garden City.
Monday 29 December
Buses replace trains between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North
Due to engineering work closing lines in the Cambridge area, rail replacement buses will run between Royston, Cambridge and Cambridge North.
