Trains will finish earlier than normal

London Overground services will finish earlier than normal on Christmas Eve.

Thursday 25 December - Christmas Day

No service

There will be no London Overground services on Christmas Day.

Friday 26 December - Boxing Day

Limited London Overground service on some routes

A limited Boxing Day train timetable will be in operation on the following two routes only:

Mildmay line - Due to engineering works, a Boxing Day service will only run between Shepherds Bush and Clapham Junction.

Windrush line - Trains will run between Highbury & Islington and West Croydon.

Saturday 27 December

Amended Richmond / Clapham Junction - Stratford (London) service

Due to engineering work the following amended Mildmay line service will operate:

• 4 trains per hour between Clapham Junction and Shepherds Bush

• 4 trains per hour between Willesden Junction and Stratford via Queens Park and Camden Road

• 2 trains per hour between between Gospel Oak and Stratford

• There is no train service between Richmond, Willesden Junction or Gospel Oak. Please use local buses and alternative routes via central London

Amended service between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside

Due to engineering work, the Suffragette line between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside will have a reduced train frequency before 07:30 and after 19:00.

Buses will replace trains between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction

Due to engineering work closing the line, no Windrush line trains will run between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.

You can travel on a replacement bus service between Canada Water and Clapham Junction via Surrey Quays and Denmark Hill.

No trains will run to or from London Liverpool Street

Major engineering work means that no trains can use the main London Liverpool Street station.

An amended Weaver line train service will run in both directions between Enfield Town / Cheshunt / Chingford and London Fields only. You can use London Buses at no extra cost between London Fields and central London.

Please be aware that London Fields is a small station in Hackney, with very limited facilities and no step free access to platforms.

Thursday 1 January 2026 - New Year's Day

Extra trains at the start of the New Year

A limited number of additional services will run in the early hours of New Year’s Day for customers returning from festivities in London.

London Overground will operate trains on the following routes all night from New Year's Eve into New Year's Day:

• Clapham Junction to Shepherds Bush

• Willesden Junction to Stratford via Queens Park and Camden Road

• Highbury & Islington to West Croydon

• Highbury & Islington to Crystal Palace

• Enfield Town to London Fields

• Chingford to London Fields

• Cheshunt to London Fields
