This page contains information for the six London Overground lines which are named (in alphabetical order) - Liberty, Lioness, Mildmay, Suffragette, Weaver and Windrush

Early May Bank Holiday Travel Advice

Saturday 2 May

No Lioness line trains between London Euston and Kilburn High Road

Due to engineering work, no Lioness line trains will run between London Euston and Kilburn High Road in either direction.

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following London Underground services:

  • Bakerloo line to / from Kilburn Park for Kilburn High Road

  • Jubilee line to / from Swiss Cottage for South Hampstead

  • Northern / Victoria line for Euston

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Amended 06:51 Stratford (London) to Clapham Junction service

Due to early morning engineering work, the 06:51 Stratford (London) to Clapham Junction service will start from Willesden Junction at 07:33. You should instead travel by later train services to complete your journey.

Amended 21:34 Clapham Junction to Stratford (London) service

Due to late night engineering work, the 21:34 Clapham Junction to Stratford (London) service will terminate at Willesden Junction. You should instead travel by earlier train services to complete your journey.

Sunday 3 May

No Lioness line trains between London Euston and Kilburn High Road

Due to engineering work, no Lioness line trains will run between London Euston and Kilburn High Road in either direction.

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following London Underground services:

  • Bakerloo line to / from Kilburn Park for Kilburn High Road

  • Jubilee line to / from Swiss Cottage for South Hampstead

  • Northern / Victoria line for Euston

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Early morning and late night Mildmay line service changes between Gospel Oak / Camden Road and Stratford (London)

Due to early morning and late night engineering work, the following Mildmay line service changes will be made:

  • Before 11:00, no trains will run between Gospel Oak and Stratford (London)

  • After 22:30, no trains will run between Camden Road and Stratford (London)

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on appropriate London Overground Windrush line, London Underground Northern line and London Bus services. If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Until 07:45: No Windrush line trains will run to or from West Croydon

Due to early morning engineering work, the first trains to run will be:

  • 07:19 Highbury & Islington to West Croydon

  • 08:18 West Croydon to Highbury & Islington

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on London Bus routes 157, 176 and 197, and also on London Trams between East Croydon and West Croydon. If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

After 20:00: No Windrush line trains will run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross / Crystal Palace / West Croydon / Clapham Junction

Due to late evening engineering work, after 20:00 on Sunday, no trains will run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross / Crystal Palace / West Croydon / Clapham Junction.

The last trains to run will be:

  • 18:33 West Croydon to Highbury & Islington

  • 18:34 Crystal Palace to Highbury & Islington

  • 18:44 Clapham Junction to Dalston Junction

  • 18:59 Dalston Junction to New Cross

  • 19:06 Dalston Junction to Clapham Junction

  • 19:12 Highbury & Islington to Crystal Palace

  • 19:19 Highbury & Islington to West Croydon

  • 19:29 New Cross to Dalston Junction

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on appropriate London Overground Mildmay line, Southern, Elizabeth line, London Underground, London Trams, Docklands Light Railway and London Bus services. If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Until 10:30: No Liberty line trains between Romford and Upminster

Due to early Sunday morning engineering work, there will be no Liberty line trains between Romford and Upminster until after 10:30.

The first Liberty line trains to run will be:

  • 10:41 Romford to Upminster

  • 10:55 Upminster to Romford

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on London Underground District line (for Upminster), and London Bus routes 370 (for journeys between Romford and Emerson Park / Upminster) and 248 (for journeys between Romford and Upminster). If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Until 12:35: Changes to Suffragette line services between Barking Riverside and Gospel Oak

Due to morning engineering work, no Suffragette line trains will run between Barking Riverside and Gospel Oak before 09:30.

A reduced and amended service will run between Barking and Gospel Oak between 09:30 and 12:35.

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Monday 4 May - Early May Bank Holiday

Bank Holiday service changes

The following services will be operating on London Overground lines on Early May Bank Holiday Monday:

  • Liberty line: Normal service

  • Lioness line: Significantly amended service, please see below

  • Mildmay line: Awaiting details

  • Suffragette line: Service is subject to the early morning changes listed below

  • Weaver line: Saturday service

  • Windrush line : Awaiting details

Early morning changes between Barking Riverside and Gospel Oak

Due to the bank holiday, the following Suffragette line train services will not run on Early May Bank Holiday Monday:

  • 05:33 Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak

  • 05:48 Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak

You should instead travel by later train services.

Normal service

No changes to London Overground services have been announced.

Sunday 24 May

No Windrush line trains between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction

Due to engineering work in the Denmark Hill area, there will be no Windrush line trains between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following operators’ services:

  • Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye: Use Southern services from London Bridge for these stations

  • Queens Road Peckham and Surrey Quays: Use Local buses P12 or 225 / 381 and 177 / 436

  • Peckham Rye and Surrey Quays: Use Local bus P12

  • Denmark Hill: Use London Underground Jubilee line to Southwark and local bus 40 to Denmark Hill

  • High Street Clapham: Use London Underground Northern line to Clapham North

  • Wandsworth Road: Use local bus 87

Monday 25 May - Late May Bank Holiday

Bank Holiday service changes

The following services will be operating on London Overground lines on Late May Bank Holiday Monday:

  • Liberty line: Normal service

  • Lioness line: Saturday service

  • Mildmay line: Reduced service, please check your journey as some trains will not run

  • Suffragette line: Awaiting details

  • Weaver line: Saturday service. However there will be no train service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 23:20. Last trains will be 22:31 London Liverpool Street to Chingford, 22:53 Chingford to London Liverpool Street. You can use your ticket on London Underground and Local Buses at no extra cost

  • Windrush line : Awaiting details
