Due to engineering work, the following routes will have service changes:
Leeds - Manchester Victoria / Wigan Wallgate via Dewsbury: Trains will be diverted to run via Bradford Interchange and Halifax, and will not call at Morley, Batley, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Brighouse.
Leeds - Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury: Trains will run between Brighouse and Bradford Interchange.
Buses will be provided between Dewsbury and Halifax, and between Dewsbury and Huddersfield.
Amended 05:29 Blackpool South to Preston service
Due to early morning engineering work, the 05:29 Blackpool South to Preston service will start from Blackpool North. A bus will be provided from Blackpool South to Preston, departing Blackpool South at 04:55.
Amended late night service through the Stockport area
Due to engineering work, the following service changes will be made:
22:36 Manchester Piccadilly to Crewe service will terminate at Stockport. A bus will be provided from Stockport to Crewe
22:59 Buxton to Manchester Piccadilly service will be replaced by a bus
23:01 Manchester Piccadilly to Alderley Edge service will terminate at Stockport. A bus will be provided from Stockport to Alderley Edge
23:10 Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton service will be replaced by a bus
23:12 Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly service will start from Stockport. A bus will be provided from Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly

Due to late night engineering work, the 23:28 Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street service will terminate at Warrington Central. A bus will be provided from Warrington Central to Liverpool Lime Street.
Amended 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service
Due to late night engineering work, the 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will terminate at Preston. A bus will be provided from Preston to Blackpool North.
Wednesday 24 December
Trains will finish earlier than normal
Northern services will finish earlier than normal on Christmas Eve.
From 18:00, trains may be cancelled or will terminate short of their normal destination. Most services will be withdrawn from 20:00.

Buses will also be provided between Preston and Lancaster operated by TransPennine Express which you can use at no extra cost. Trains will run to a revised timetable between Barrow-in-Furness, Lancaster and Windermere
Liverpool Lime Street - Wigan North Western - Blackpool North: Trains will run to a reduced timetable between Liverpool Lime Street and Wigan North Western. Buses will be provided between Wigan North Western and Preston (operated by Avanti West Coast), Northern customers can use these buses at no extra cost
Colne - Preston: Trains will terminate at, and start back from Bamber Bridge. Buses will be provided between Blackburn and Preston
Preston - Ormskirk: Trains will not run. Buses will operate between Buckshaw Parkway and Ormskirk via Preston
