All set against a stunning backdrop of period-perfect splendour - get ready to step back into the golden age of motorsport.

The exciting action takes place on and off the track throughout the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the 3-day attendance at Goodwood this year is expected to be 150,000. With such big numbers heading to the Circuit, why not consider travelling to the event by train this year.

You can use the train to travel to and from the event

The Goodwood Motor Circuit which hosts the event is situated near Chichester in West Sussex.

To travel to and from the event by train simply book your ticket on one of the regular train services to Chichester station, with direct trains available from nearby major cities including Brighton, Southampton and Portsmouth. If you're travelling from London, the journey time to Chichester is approximately one and a half hours.

Once you arrive at Chichester station, simply hop-on the shuttle bus service running regularly between the station and the event gate. It's the best way to skip the traffic and catch a ride straight to the event.

The shuttle bus service will run between the event and Chichester station between 07:00 and 22:00 on Friday and Saturday, and between 07:00 and 21:00 on Sunday.

Which railway station should I travel to?

Chichester station.

You can use the National Rail journey planner to plan your travel from your local station to and from Chichester. Please be aware that the bus transfers between Chichester station and the Goodwood circuit only run at certain times during the day, so please plan your journey accordingly.

What travel tickets do I need to buy?

You’ll need to buy train tickets to make your train journey to and from Chichester.

Can I get an Advance train ticket to travel to Chichester?

You can make your journey easier by buying your train tickets in advance.
