Each year, Train Operating Companies extend complimentary travel to volunteers and collectors for the Royal British Legion to participate in City Poppy Days fundraising events.

This year, there is one London Poppy Day taking place on Thursday 30 October 2025.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Complimentary travel has been agreed to cover the day itself, plus one day either side of the London Poppy Day Appeal event specified, as per the below, to allow collectors/volunteers to arrive before and return after the event.

Please allow the bearer of the pass you have scanned travel to, or from, London on the relevant dates shown below. QR codes will not operate automatic gates. Please allow passholders through gates. 

Note: Royal British Legion have advised that as London Poppy Day falls during the half term break for many schools, some authorised collectors may be accompanied by one or more passenger(s) under the age of 18. Royal British Legion do not issue under 18s with a Volunteer ID. Please allow under 18-year-olds accompanying an adult in possession of a Volunteer ID through the gates and to travel free with the authorised collector.
