Timetable Information
Normally, the timetable for any particular day is confirmed 12 weeks in advance. However there may be exceptions to this, where timetables are not yet available 12 weeks in advance. This could be due to engineering work, special events, Bank Holidays, short notice changes to the timetable and many other reasons.
What does this mean for customers?
Where Journey Planners are not yet confirmed 12 weeks in advance, please be aware that the normal timetable will still show in journey planners. Where we are aware that the timetable is not yet correct, the National Rail journey planner will show a warning triangle against the trains concerned.
What does this mean for purchasing Advance tickets?
Customers are advised to book as normal. Advance tickets for many routes will still go on sale 12 weeks in advance but where they don’t, they will be listed on the Latest Availability of Advance tickets webpage.
Many train companies also let customers sign up through their website to receive an email when Advance tickets go on sale.
