Buses replace trains in the Basingstoke / Woking / Winchester area on Sunday 21 January

Great Western Railway between Reading and Basingstoke

South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Woking / Guildford / Portsmouth Harbour / Poole / Weymouth / Exeter St Davids, and between Alton and Woking

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Weybridge and Andover / Winchester, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

CrossCountry:

Trains will be diverted, extending journey times by up to 60 minutes, and will not call at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway.

Replacement buses will run between Reading and Winchester via Basingstoke.

Great Western Railway:

Buses will replace trains between Reading and Basingstoke via Reading Green Park, Mortimer and Bramley.

For Reading West, you can use rail services between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn instead.

As a result of diversions for other train services, some trains between Reading and Guildford will be retimed.

Customers travelling directly between Reading and Basingstoke can use CrossCountry replacement buses.

South Western Railway:

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Weybridge and Woking.

  • Weybridge and Guildford.

  • Weybridge and Basingstoke.

  • Woking and Winchester.

  • Woking and Andover.

  • Weybridge and Aldershot.
