Description

Engineering work is taking place at Didcot Parkway station, closing some lines on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday:

Long distance trains:

Throughout the day, long distance Great Western Railway services to / from London Paddington will be retimed to run up to 3 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Local trains:

From 12:00, trains between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will run to a reduced and amended timetable between Reading and Didcot Parkway, and will be retimed.

Additionally:

  • The 22:50 and 23:33 London Paddington to Oxford services will change direction of travel after calling at Didcot Parkway. They will arrive at Oxford a few minutes later than normal

  • The 23:00 Oxford to London Paddington service will change direction of travel before calling at Didcot Parkway. It will call at Didcot Parkway a few minutes later than normal

Pangbourne:

The following trains will not call at Pangbourne:

  • The 22:08 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service

  • The 23:08 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service

  • The 23:08 Didcot Parkway to Reading service

  • The 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service (terminating at Ealing Broadway)

Replacement buses will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne.

Sunday:

Long distance trains:

From 09:50 until the end of the day, long distance Great Western Railway services to / from London Paddington will be retimed to run up to 3 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Additionally:

  • The 07:36 London Paddington to Great Malvern will change direction of travel after calling at Didcot Parkway. It will arrive Oxford a few minutes later than normal

  • The 08:47 (departing 08:38) London Paddington to Great Malvern will change direction of travel after calling at Didcot Parkway. It will arrive Oxford a few minutes later than normal

  • The 09:21 London Paddington to Oxford will change direction of travel after calling at Didcot Parkway. It will arrive Oxford a few minutes later than normal

  • The 07:53 Oxford to London Paddington will change direction of travel before calling at Didcot Parkway. It will call at Didcot Parkway, Reading and London Paddington a few minutes later than usual

  • The 08:15 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington will change direction of travel before calling at Didcot Parkway. It will call at Didcot Parkway, Reading and London Paddington a few minutes later than usual

  • The 09:02 (departing 09:00) Oxford to London Paddington will change direction of travel before calling at Didcot Parkway. It will call at Didcot Parkway, Reading and London Paddington a few minutes later than usual

Local trains:

Pangbourne:

Before 10:20, no trains will call at Pangbourne. Replacement buses will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne.

After 22:30:

  • The 22:33 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will use alternative platforms at Tilehurst, Goring & Streatley and Cholsey and will not call at Pangbourne. Replacement buses will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne

  • The 23:31 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will use alternative platforms at Tilehurst, Goring & Streatley and Cholsey and will not call at Pangbourne. For Pangbourne, you should travel to Tilehurst for a bus to Pangbourne taking 10 minutes. From Pangbourne, you should travel by rail from Pangbourne to Tilehurst to connect with the train

  • The 23:52 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington is unaffected by the engineering work and will call at Pangbourne
