Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Swansea

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing various lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

As a result:

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 20:48 London Paddington to Swansea will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, calling at Bridgend and beyond later than normal. On Wednesday and Thursday this train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway

  • The 21:48 London Paddington to Swansea will use this route as normal between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling). On Wednesday and Thursday, this train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway

  • The 22:46 London Paddington to Swansea (also diverted between Swindon and Bristol Parkway – see other item) will further divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend calling at the Bridgend and beyond later than normal. On Wednesday and Thursday the train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway

Tuesday and Wednesday:

  • The 03:46 Swansea to London Paddington will call at Bridgend and Cardiff Central a few minutes later than normal. Normal timings departing Cardiff Central and beyond
