Great Western Railway between Swindon and Westbury / Warminster / Weymouth, between Westbury and Weymouth, and between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury

Description

Engineering work is taking place at several locations in the Westbury area, closing some lines before 14:00 on Sunday.

As a result:

  • The 07:59 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads will call additionally Oldfield Park and Keynsham

  • The 08:06 Warminster to Swindon will not run. A replacement bus will run at 07:45 from Warminster to Dilton Marsh, Westbury, Trowbridge, Melksham and Chippenham. You can use rail connections between Chippenham and Swindon at no extra cost

  • The 08:39 Westbury to Bristol Temple Meads will depart at 09:21 and will call only at Trowbridge and Bath Spa. It will not call at Bradford-on-Avon, Avoncliff, Freshford, Oldfield Park or Keynsham. For these stations, you can travel by later services at no extra cost

  • The 09:00 Westbury to Weymouth service will depart at 09:40 and will run later than normal throughout

  • The 09:08 Swindon to Westbury will not run and will be part replaced by road transport from Chippenham to Melksham, dropping off only at Trowbridge and Westbury. You can use alternative rail connections between Swindon and Chippenham at no extra cost

  • The 10:38 Weymouth to Swindon will depart at 11:16, running later than normal to Chippenham where it will terminate. You can use alternative rail connections between Chippenham and Swindon at no extra cost

  • The 13:32 Swindon to Weymouth will start from Chippenham earlier than normal at 13:24. You can use earlier rail connections between Swindon and Chippenham at no extra cost
