Description

Engineering work is taking place in the London Paddington area, closing some lines.

Elizabeth line:

Before 07:40:

No trains will run between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway.

From 07:40:

Trains that normally run between Abbey Wood and Maidenhead will run between Abbey Wood and London Paddington low level only.

Trains that normally run between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4 will run to a reduced service of 2 trains per hour.

Services will still operate between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5, and also between Abbey Wood and Reading.

Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley and West Drayton stations will have a reduced service of 2 trains per hour.

Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway stations will have a reduced service of 6 trains per hour.

Trains to / from Reading will now call at Iver

Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing will have no service.

Alternative travel options:

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following operators’ services between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, and for travel to / from Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing:

  • London Underground

  • London Buses

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey.

Great Western Railway:

Before 07:20:

The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington will depart at 06:40 and will operate later than normal throughout.

The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading will not run. You should travel by later train services.

After 07:20:

Long distance trains to / from London Paddington will be amended to run up to 8 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Trains between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will be retimed to run a few minutes later than usual.

Heathrow Express:

Before 07:25, no trains will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.

From 07:25 until the end of the day, a reduced and amended service will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.
