Description
Engineering work is taking place all weekend at London Victoria, closing all lines used by Gatwick Express and Southern services.
No Gatwick Express or Southern services will run to / from London Victoria.
There will also be no Southern services to / from Watford Junction.
The following changes will affect your journey, and you may need to use a replacement bus service, a different route or another train operator to get to your destination.
These options could take longer, so please use an online journey planner before you head to the station, and leave plenty of extra time.
Gatwick Express services will not run throughout any part of their usual route.
Southern services which usually run between Ore / Eastbourne, Brighton, Portsmouth Harbour, Littlehampton or East Grinstead and London Victoria will be diverted, and will run to & from London Bridge instead. This also means these trains will not serve Clapham Junction. Some trains may take longer than usual to reach London.
Southern services which usually run between Horsham, Dorking and London Victoria will also be diverted, and will run to & from London Bridge instead. These trains will generally run non-stop between Mitcham Eastfields and London Bridge. (Please note that trains do not run on Sundays on the part of this route between Horsham and Dorking.)
Southern services which usually run between Sutton (Saturday) / West Croydon (Sunday) and London Victoria via Crystal Palace and Streatham Hill will be amended. These trains will only run between Sutton (Saturday) / West Croydon (Sunday) and Streatham Hill. They will not serve stations between Streatham Hill and London Victoria.
Southern services which usually run between Epsom Downs and London Victoria will be amended, and will only run between Epsom Downs and Selhurst.
Southern services which usually run between London Bridge and London Victoria via Crystal Palace will be suspended.
Southern services which usually run between Reigate and London Victoria will be amended, and will only run as shuttle services between Reigate and Redhill.
Southern services which usually run between East Croydon / Selhurst / Clapham Junction and Watford Junction will be suspended.
Southern services which usually run overnight between Three Bridges and London Victoria will be diverted to / from London Bridge, not serving Clapham Junction.
Some changes will also affect the usual services on the London Bridge route:
Southern services between Caterham / Tattenham Corner and London Bridge may not run to the usual timetable, so please check train times before you go to the station.
There will be no all-stations Southern services between East Croydon and London Bridge via Forest Hill, at times when these trains usually run.
On Saturday only:
- Southern services which usually run between Uckfield and London Bridge will only run between Uckfield and East Croydon
- Southern services which usually run between Beckenham Junction and London Bridge (via Crystal Palace) will be suspended
Alternative journey options:
Replacement buses will run between East Croydon and Clapham Junction, calling at West Croydon, Selhurst, Thornton Heath, Norbury, Streatham Common, Balham and Wandsworth Common.
Early-morning and late-evening buses will also run on some other Southern "Metro" routes around South London.
Departure times are shown on the online journey planners. Bus journeys usually take much longer than train journeys.

South Western Railway services between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo (which is connected to Waterloo East station)
London Underground on:
Northern Line between Waterloo and Charing Cross / Leicester Square / Warren Street, and between Battersea Power Station, Kennington and Central London
Piccadilly Line between Leicester Square and Green Park
Victoria Line between Warren Street / Green Park and Victoria
London Buses on the following routes:
44 between Battersea Park and London Victoria
11 and 121 London Victoria and London Waterloo
170 between Clapham Junction and London Victoria
In the South London area
London Buses on Routes 249, 255 and 319 between Crystal Palace / Balham and London Victoria
London Overground services between Clapham Junction, Peckham Rye, West Croydon or Crystal Palace and Canada Water
London Underground on:
Northern Line via Balham
Jubilee Line between Canada Water and Central London
Trams between Beckenham Junction, Birkbeck, East Croydon and West Croydon / Wimbledon
Alternative Southern and Thameslink services on any reasonable route

London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston and Watford Junction
London Overground services between:
Clapham Junction, Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction
London Euston, Willesden Junction, Wembley Central, Harrow & Wealdstone and Watford Junction
London Underground on:
Northern Line between London Bridge and Euston
Victoria Line between Victoria, Oxford Circus, Warren Street and Euston
Bakerloo Line between Charing Cross, Oxford Circus, Wembley Central and Harrow & Wealdstone
Central Line between Oxford Circus and Shepherds Bush
Note: As there are no trains serving London Victoria, please consider connecting between Tube and Southern services at London Bridge instead.
Between the South Coast (including Brighton), Gatwick Airport and London, including for journeys usually involving the Gatwick Express:
Any reasonable alternative Southern and Thameslink services, including diverted trains to / from London Bridge
