Between Liskeard and Looe

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Liskeard and Looe, closing all lines. Background information on the work taking place can be found below.

Buses replace trains between Liskeard and Looe.

Replacement buses will stop in St Keyne village instead of St Keyne Wishing Well Halt, and in Duloe village instead of Causeland station. These services will not stop to pick up or drop off at Coombe Junction Halt – contact Great Western Railway staff for assistance.

Rail replacement services will not operate on Sunday 14 December.

Background information:

A major tree maintenance project by Network Rail takes place from Monday 8 to Friday 19 December, to cut back trees and shrubs to keep the branch line safe. Trees and bushes can damage trains or block the driver's view, so managing the trees and plants alongside the railway is essential for the safety of passengers and railway workers.

The line will be closed for 12 days so the work can be done safely, with buses replacing trains between Liskeard and Looe. More details on this project are available on the Network Rail website.
