Description

Major engineering work is taking place between Peterborough and London Kings Cross from Saturday 17 to Tuesday 20 February (inclusive).

There will be alterations and diversions in place throughout this period.

Grand Central:

No Grand Central trains will run on Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.

Great Northern and Thameslink:

From Saturday to Tuesday, no trains will run between Royston / Peterborough and Potters Bar and between Hertford North and Stevenage.

An amended service will run between:

  • Cambridge and Royston

  • Hertford North / Potters Bar and Moorgate (Saturday, Monday and Tuesday).

  • Alexandra Palace and Moorgate (Sunday).

  • Potters Bar and London Kings Cross (Saturday, Monday and Tuesday).

  • London Bridge and Horsham / Three Bridges / Brighton only.

Additionally on Sunday, no trains will run between Potters Bar and Alexandra Palace.

Also on Sunday before 08:00, there will be no trains to / from Moorgate, you can use your tickets on London Bus route 21 for stations between Finsbury Park and Moorgate, and on London Underground services between Finsbury Park and Kings Cross St Pancras / Moorgate.

From Saturday to Tuesday, an extremely limited replacement buses will run between:

  • Peterborough and Bedford via Huntingdon and St Neots

  • Peterborough and Hitchin

  • Royston and Hitchin

  • Stevenage and Luton Airport Parkway via Hitchin

  • St Albans and Stevenage via Welwyn Garden City (Saturday 17, Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 only)

  • Potters Bar and Hitchin

  • Hertford North and Stevenage

In addition to the above, the following rail replacement services will also run on Sunday 18 February:

  • Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City via Cockfosters

  • Potters Bar and Cockfosters via Hadley Wood

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your tickets on the following alternative services:

  • LNER buses between Peterborough and Bedford.

  • Greater Anglia between Cambridge North / Cambridge and London Liverpool Street.

  • Thameslink services between Bedford and London St Pancras International.

  • London Underground Kings Cross St Pancras and Tottenham Hale.

  • London Underground between Kings Cross St Pancras and Liverpool Street.

  • London Underground Piccadilly line services between Kings Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters (Sunday only).

  • London Underground Northern line services between Moorgate and High Barnet (Sunday only).

  • London Buses between New Barnet and High Barnet on routes 107, 307, 384 (Sunday only).

Hull Trains:

Saturday and Sunday:

Trains will be diverted to start / terminate at London St Pancras International. They will not call at Beverley, Cottingham, Doncaster, Retford, Grantham or Stevenage.

Monday and Tuesday:

Trains will run to a reduced service and will operate between Beverley / Hull and Doncaster only. They will not call at Retford, Grantham or London Kings Cross.

LNER:

An amended train service will run between:

  • Scotland and Peterborough (2 trains per hour).

  • Leeds and Peterborough (1 train per hour).

Other services will be amended to start / terminate at Grantham.

Replacement buses will run between Peterborough and Bedford, connecting with East Midlands Railway / Thameslink services to / from London St Pancras International.

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your ticket with East Midlands Railway / Thameslink between Bedford and London St Pancras International.

Lumo:

From Saturday to Tuesday, Lumo services will run between Edinburgh and Newcastle, to an amended timetable.

A limited number of trains will run between Edinburgh and Peterborough, connecting with replacement buses between Peterborough and London Kings Cross.
