Description
Engineering work is taking place on one of the two lines between Purley and Horley, closing the line where trains usually stop at stations via Redhill. The line that allows trains to run 'non-stop' between Purley and Horley will remain open.
Please note, Great Western Railway services between Guildford and Gatwick Airport are also affected by this engineering work (see below).
Southern:
The following service changes will be made:
Trains will be diverted onto the open lines between Purley and Horley where possible, and will not call at Coulsdon South, Merstham, Redhill, Earlswood (Surrey) or Salfords.
The train services that run direct between London Victoria and Reigate will not run.
London Victoria to Brighton Southern services will call additionally at Purley and Horley.
London Victoria to Portsmouth Harbour and Bognor Regis services will be diverted and will not call at Redhill.
Replacement buses will run between Purley and Reigate / Horley to provide connections with interim stations.
Thameslink:
No Thameslink trains will call at Coulsdon South, Merstham, Redhill or Earlswood (Surrey).
Your tickets will be accepted on Southern trains and rail replacement buses between Purley and Horley via Redhill.
Your tickets will also be accepted on Metrobus routes 100 / 400 / 420 / 460 at no extra cost.
Other services will be disrupted at Redhill:
Buses will replace Southern trains between Redhill and Tonbridge.
Buses will replace Great Western Railway trains between Gatwick Airport and Guildford via Redhill.
