Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Bedwyn / Bristol Temple Meads / Paignton, between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn, and between Newbury and Bedwyn

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Newbury and Bedwyn, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

The 19:04 Paignton to London Paddington will call additionally at Hungerford and Kintbury, and will call at Newbury and beyond later than normal.

The 21:37 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run.

The 22:08 Newbury to Reading will depart much earlier than normal (at 21:36) and will not call at Reading West. Road transport will operate at 22:08 from Newbury to Reading, calling all stations.

The following trains will not run and will be replaced by road transport. Please note that some buses will depart at different times to trains they replace:

  • 21:57 Newbury to Bedwyn

  • 22:10 Reading to Newbury

  • 22:25 Bedwyn to Newbury

  • 22:47 Newbury to Reading

  • 22:47 Newbury to Bedwyn

  • 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading

Additionally, the 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will NOT run. For stations to Bedwyn travel by the 22:28 (departing 22:30) London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads as far as Reading for road transport Reading-Bedwyn.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 00:17 Reading to Newbury will not run, and will be replaced by road transport from Reading dropping off only at all stations to Newbury.

The 05:31 Bedwyn to London Paddington will terminate at Reading. You can use alternative rail connections between Reading and London Paddington at no extra cost.
