Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Bedwyn / Bristol Temple Meads / Paignton, and between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn, and also between Newbury and Bedwyn

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 19:04 Paignton to London Paddington will call additionally at Hungerford and Kintbury and will call at Newbury and beyond later than normal

  • The 21:37 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run

  • The 22:08 Newbury to Reading will depart much earlier than normal (at 21:36) and will not call at Reading West. Road transport will operate at 22:08 from Newbury to Reading calling all stations

  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will not run. You can instead travel by the 22:30 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads as far as Reading for road transport towards Bedwyn, at no extra cost

After 21:55, buses will replace trains between Reading / Newbury and Bedwyn.

Tuesday to Friday:

  • The 00:17 Reading to Newbury service will not run, and will be replaced by a bus between Reading and Newbury, dropping off only at all stations

  • The 05:31 Bedwyn to London Paddington service will terminate at Reading. You can use other Great Western Railway services between Reading and London Paddington at no extra cost
