Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Swindon / Bristol Parkway / Bristol Temple Meads / Cheltenham Spa / Weston-super-Mare / Taunton / Swansea / Carmarthen / Exeter St Davids , and between Swindon and Westbury / Frome / Warminster / Weymouth

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Chippenham / Bristol Parkway, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Reading and Swindon

  • Didcot Parkway and Swindon

  • Swindon and Chippenham / Bath Spa

No replacement buses will run to / from Bristol Parkway, due to a road closure. For travel between Swindon and Bristol Parkway, you should travel via Chippenham / Gloucester instead.

Trains that usually run between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads / Swansea / Carmarthen will be diverted to run via Newbury (not calling), and will be retimed throughout.

Trains that usually run between London Paddington and Cheltenham Spa will run between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only.

An hourly service will run between London Paddington and Reading, calling at Slough.

An amended (2 hourly) service will run between Chippenham and Westbury.

At Reading, most diverted trains from London Paddington will pick up only, and most diverted trains to London Paddington will drop off only.

At Bristol Temple Meads, most diverted trains from London Paddington will drop off only, and most diverted trains to London Paddington will pick up only.
