Great Western Railway between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads / Westbury and Portsmouth Harbour, and also between Bristol Temple Meads and Salisbury

South Western Railway between London Waterloo / Romsey and Salisbury / Exeter, and also between Basingstoke and Reading

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Warminster and Redbridge and also between , closing several lines. ​​​​​​​

Great Western Railway:

Except where shown below, trains between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads / Westbury and Portsmouth Harbour and also between Bristol Temple Meads and Salisbury will start / terminate at Warminster.

Rail replacement bus service will run between:

  • Warminster and Southampton Central, calling at Salisbury

Trains will operate hourly between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour.

If you are travelling to / from Romsey you should use South Western Railway services to complete your journey.

Saturday:

Additionally:

  • The 17:40 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour, the 17:44 Swindon to Salisbury and also the 17:47 Worcester Foregate Street (starting at Great Malvern) to Portsmouth Harbour service will terminate at Westbury.

  • The 19:08 Portsmouth Harbour to (starting Warminster) to Cardiff Central service will call additionally at Dilton Marsh.

  • The 19:59 Salisbury to Bristol Temple Meads service will start from Westbury.

Sunday:

Additionally:

  • The 07:05 Westbury to Southampton Central will not run.

  • The 08:30 Southampton Central to Bristol Temple Meads will start from Westbury.

South Western Railway:

Rail replacement buses will run between:

  • Romsey and Salisbury

  • Andover and Gillingham

  • Basingstoke and Gillingham
