Amended Southern services in the Purley area on Sunday 21 December

Description

Engineering work is taking place between in the Purley area, closing various lines.

Southern trains will run to an amended timetable with extended journey times between East Croydon and Purley / Redhill / Gatwick Airport.

This will affect all trains running between London and Gatwick Airport, Brighton and other South Coast destinations.

Trains between London Victoria and Reigate will be amended to run between Reigate and Redhill only. You should use alternative Southern or Thameslink trains to travel between Redhill and London.

No trains will run between Purley and Caterham / Tattenham Corner. A reduced number of trains will run between London Bridge and Purley. Replacement buses will run between Purley and Tattenham corner. You can use paper tickets at no extra cost on London Bus routes 407, 434 and 439 between Purley and Caterham.

After approximately 09:00, no Southern trains will call at Norwood Junction. Paper tickets can be used at no extra cost on London Bus routes 197 and 312 between East Croydon and Norwood Junction and on London Overground Windrush line trains between West Croydon and Sydenham.
