Description

Engineering work is taking place until 12:30, between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly, closing some lines.

Avanti West Coast:

Until 12:30, no trains will run between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly.

During this time, the following services will start from Manchester Piccadilly:

  • 10:30 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston

  • 11:30 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston

  • 12:09 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston

The first service able to run will be the 12:55 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston.

CrossCountry:

Replacement buses will be provided by East Midlands Railway and Transport for Wales between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly.

Northern:

Until 12:30, trains will run as follows:

Between Manchester Piccadilly and Blackpool North: Trains will run to an amended timetable between Manchester Oxford Road and Blackpool North.

Between Manchester Piccadilly and Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere: Trains will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Barrow-in-Furness / Windermere.

Between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Manchester Airport: Trains will run between Stockport and Manchester Airport / Crewe.

Between Manchester Piccadilly and Buxton: Trains will run to an amended timetable between Stockport and Buxton.

Between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester: Trains will not run.

Between Manchester and Liverpool Lime Street via Earlestown: Trains will run to an amended timetable between Manchester Oxford Road and Liverpool Lime Street.

Replacement buses will operate between:

  • Bolton and Manchester Airport

  • Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport as part of a cross-industry alternative transport plan

  • Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport as part of a cross-industry alternative transport plan

  • Stockport and Chester

TransPennine Express:

Until 12:30, TransPennine Express will operate the following amended timetable:

  • Preston and Glasgow / Edinburgh

  • Stockport and Cleethorpes

  • Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road

  • Stalybridge and Manchester Victoria

Rail replacement buses to be confirmed.

Transport for Wales:

No Transport for Wales services will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Airport, or between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Stockport.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe.
