Description

Engineering work is taking place in the morning between Stockport and Congleton, closing all lines.

Avanti West Coast

Until approximately 12:10, no trains will run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent via Macclesfield.

Replacement buses will run between:

• Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport

• Wilmslow and Macclesfield / Stoke-on-Trent

CrossCountry

Until approximately 12:25, no trains will run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent via Macclesfield.

Trains will be diverted between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent via Heald Green, Wilmslow and Crewe.

Replacement bus services will run between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent, between Wilmslow and Macclesfield, and between Macclesfield and Stafford calling at Stoke-on-Trent.

East Midlands Railway

The 09:42 Nottingham to Liverpool Lime Street train will no longer call at Stockport.

A rail replacement bus will run between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly.

Northern

Until approximately 13:00:

• Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Stockport will be diverted and will not call at Heaton Chapel, Stockport, Cheadle Hulme, or Handforth

• Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester / Stoke-on-Trent will not run

• Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Buxton will run between Hazel Grove and Buxton only

Replacement buses will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport / Hazel Grove / Chester.

TransPennine Express

Before 12:20, no trains will call at Stockport.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

• Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport

• Manchester Airport and Huddersfield

Transport for Wales

Until approximately 12:35, trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff Central / Milford Haven will be diverted via Styal and will not call at Stockport.

Replacement bus services will run between Stockport and Wilmslow.
