Description

Engineering work is taking place between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, closing all lines early in the morning, and some lines all day.

Elizabeth line:

The 00:07 Heathrow Terminal 5 to London Paddington service will start at 00:12, and will terminate at Ealing Broadway.

Sunday until 10:00

No trains will run between Ealing Broadway and London Paddington.

The following additional amendments will apply:

  • A shuttle service will run between Abbey Wood and London Paddington (Elizabeth line)

  • A reduced service of 2 trains per hour will run between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Airport / Reading

From 10:00

Trains which normally run between Abbey Wood and Maidenhead will run between Abbey Wood and London Paddington (Elizabeth line).

Trains between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Airport will run to a reduced timetable of 2 trains per hour.

As a result:

  • Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley and West Drayton will have a reduced timetable of 2 trains per hour

  • Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 will have a reduced timetable of 4 trains per hour

  • Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway will have a reduced timetable of 6 trains per hour

No trains will call at Acton Main Line, West Ealing or Hanwell.

Great Western Railway:

Long distance services:

Most long distance trains will be retimed to run up to 8 minutes earlier or later than normal.

Local services:

The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington service will be amended to start at 06:36 and run later than usual throughout.

The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading service will not run. You can use later Elizabeth line / Great Western Railway trains to complete your journey.

For most of the day, the hourly service between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway only. The hourly service of fast trains between London Paddington and Swindon will call additionally at Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

Ticket acceptance:

Great Western Railway tickets will be accepted on the following services at no additional cost:

  • Elizabeth line between Ealing Broadway and Reading

  • London Underground between London Paddington and London Waterloo / Ealing Broadway

  • South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Reading

Heathrow Express:

No trains will run before 10:00.

After 10:00, trains will run to an amended timetable until the end of the day.
