Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads / Penzance, and also between Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Theale, closing some lines on Sunday morning.

Long distance trains:

  • The 07:59 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads will be amended to depart at 08:01

  • The 08:04 London Paddington to Penzance will depart earlier than usual at 07:59, and will divert between Reading and Westbury (via Swindon – not calling). It will not call at Newbury and Pewsey, for these stations you should travel on the amended 08:44 London Paddington to Penzance service, see below

  • The 08:44 London Paddington to Penzance will depart earlier at 08:36, and will call additionally at Newbury and Pewsey

Local trains:

  • The 08:06 Reading to Newbury will not run. Earlier road transport will run at 07:51 from Reading to Newbury, calling at all stations except Newbury Racecourse (connecting at Newbury into the train below)

  • The 08:33 Reading to Bedwyn will start from Newbury at 09:02
