Description
All lines have now reopened following an earlier points failure between Alfreton and Chesterfield. Trains running between these stations may continue to be delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 16:00.
East Midlands Railway customer advice:
East Midlands Railway have a shuttle bus service running between Nottingham and Chesterfield stations, please check the customer information screens or speaks to staff.

What should I do?
You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.
You can also travel on East Midlands Railway services at no extra cost between Nottingham and Chesterfield via Derby, and between Chesterfield and Sheffield in both directions.
You can also travel on CrossCountry services at no extra cost between Nottingham and Chesterfield via Derby, and between Chesterfield and Sheffield in both directions.
You can also travel on East Midlands Railway road replacement services at no extra cost between Nottingham and Chesterfield.
Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road transport has been confirmed to run as follows:
At 14:00 from Sheffield to Nottingham calling at all stations, operated by Ross Travel
At 15:30 from Chesterfield to Nottingham calling at all stations, operated by Solomon Travel
At 16:00 from Nottingham to Chesterfield calling at all stations, operated by RSZ Travel
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
