Description
Trains are returning to normal following a points failure in the Ambergate area. Services between Chesterfield / Matlock and Derby may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 21:00.

What has happened?
There was a points failure at Ambergate Junction, between Chesterfield / Matlock and Derby which has disrupted trains on the Sheffield / Nottingham / London St Pancras International, and Matlock / Derby / Nottingham / Cleethorpes routes.
How does this affect my train?
Sheffield / Nottingham / London St Pancras International route:
Trains running through the area in the Derby direction can now run on the usual route. Any trains that are already diverting on an alternative route will continue to divert and be delayed by approximately 30 minutes.
Trains running through the area in the Chesterfield direction are able to run normally.
Matlock / Derby / Nottingham / Cleethorpes route:
Trains are now able to run in both directions between Derby and Matlock.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.
Some ticket restrictions have been relaxed. If you hold an ‘Advance Ticket’ which is usually valid on a specific train you may use it to travel on any East Midlands Railway trains on this route.
Rail replacement buses are running between Derby and Matlock in both directions. Travelling by bus will add up to 30 minutes to your journey time.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost to travel with CrossCountry between Sheffield and Derby in both directions.
These arrangements will remain in place until the line reopens and the train service recovers.
