Description

Lines have now reopened following a fire next to the track between Basingstoke and Salisbury. As service recovers, journeys may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted between Basingstoke and Salisbury.

Disruption is expected until 18:00.

Long distance and mainline services:

Services between London Waterloo, Salisbury, Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids are expected to either be cancelled, diverted between Basingstoke and Salisbury via an alternative route or could be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

How do I get to my destination?

You will still be able to travel but please allow extra time to complete your journey.

If you're looking to travel to stations between Basingstoke and Salisbury via Andover you are advised to use local alternatives or speak to station staff who will be able to assist you with your journey.

If you are travelling between London and Exeter or to and from Salisbury, your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on Great Western Railway services between London Paddington and Exeter St Davids and between Salisbury and Westbury for services to either Exeter or London Paddington.
