Description
All lines are closed between Banbury and Oxford whilst the emergency services deal with an incident. To allow them to carry out their work safely, no trains can currently run through the area. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 11:00.

CrossCountry will have road transport in place to run between Banbury and Reading (in both directions, calling at Oxford) from 08:45. You may use these services at no additional cost. Any confirmed coaches will be shown in online journey planners.
All road transport will be fully accessible. If you are a disabled customer requiring further assistance for your disrupted journey, please speak to railway station staff or use the customer help points if the station is unstaffed.

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, then you can use your ticket on the two CrossCountry services operating before and the two CrossCountry services after your cancelled service
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them. You can view the formation of our trains via www.realtimetrains.co.uk
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost

Rail replacement transport provided by Great Western Railway in the form of minibuses have been requested. They are working to have these in place for 09:00. They will run from Banbury and Oxford calling at all stations in between.
