Whilst the lines are blocked, c2c services across the whole network services may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes, or revised.
London Overground services are currently unable to run between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside.
Major disruption is expected until 20:00.
c2c customer advice:
What should I do?
If your train is cancelled or delayed you, may wish to postpone your journey until trains are running normally again or until alternative travel options are available.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following alternatives:
Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria
London Underground services between London Fenchurch Street and Upminster
London Buses from Purfleet via Chafford Hundred and Ockendon
Elizabeth line services from London Liverpool Street via Ilford and Romford
London Overground customer advice:
You may use your tickets on London Buses via any reasonable route at no extra cost to help you complete your journey.
Additional information:
Due to the high temperatures, the overhead wires will need to cool before trains can run, resulting in the lines being blocked for an extensive length of time.
Please note, there is also a disruption at Laindon that is further disrupting c2c services.
