Description

Signalling staff being taken ill between Barnham and Bognor Regis / Havant means that all lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:30.

Services between Barnham, Chichester, Havant and Portsmouth / Southampton will be disrupted this morning from 08:00.

Please expect your overall journey time to be extended by up to 45-60 minutes and this may include you using an alternative route.

Trains are currently unable to run between Barnham / Chichester and Portsmouth and Southampton. If you are travelling on this route, then please expect your overall journey time to be extended.

Service changes:

• Services which usually run between Barnham and Bognor Regis and return are suspended from 08:00

• Services which usually run between Portsmouth Harbour and Horsham and return are suspended from 07:30

• Services which usually run between Chichester and Brighton and return will now terminate and restart at Barnham

• Services which usually run between Brighton and Portsmouth & Southsea and return will now terminate and restart at Bognor Regis

• South Western Railway between London Waterloo / Clapham Junction and Portsmouth Harbour / Southampton Central

• Brighton & Hove Buses between Brighton, Hove, Portslade, Southwick and Shoreham

• Stagecoach 700 between Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Chichester and Portsmouth

Rail replacement buses will be requested if required.

Due to availability of signalling staff, Southern are currently unable to run services from Chichester to Portsmouth / Southampton. Network Rail are working hard to source additional staff and are hoping to have this in place later this morning.
