Description

A fault with the signalling system between Crediton and Barnstaple means that trains are unable to run between these stations and will be cancelled.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport is being requested to operate between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple, more information to follow. Requests have been made for transport locally and over 100 miles away from Exeter St Davids, but Great Western Railway are struggling to recruit road transport due to weather conditions.

During this disruption if you wish to use local buses as an alternative means of transport and the local bus is not accepting Great Western Railway tickets please purchase a ticket on the bus, keep it and send it, together with your train ticket, to Great Western Railway to claim for a refund.

Additional information:

Network Rail are sending colleagues to investigate the fault, they are due on site 18:30.
