Description

A fault on a train between Exeter St Davids and Basingstoke means fewer trains are able to run between these stations. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.

This is expected until the end of the day.

Exeter St Davids to London Waterloo and London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids services are having to be heavily amended tonight due to the extreme weather causing train faults. This is meaning that more trains are having to be cancelled between Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids in both directions.

How do I get to my destination?

Please allow extra time for your journey and continue to check journey planners and our website for the latest service updates. Trains are running, where crew and stock allow, between Yeovil Junction and Salisbury. Due to the limited service between Exeter St Davids and Basingstoke there are some limited rail replacement buses running between Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids, however these are not running to a timetable.

You can also use your ticket at no extra cost on Great Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids, Reading, London Paddington and between Salisbury to Westbury for trains towards London Paddington and Exeter St Davids.

South Western Railway tickets on the West of England line can be used to travel to alternative locations that may be convenient down the Bournemouth and Weymouth line.
