Description
A fault with the signalling system between Bath Spa and Westbury / Chippenham means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted.
Major disruption is expected until 20:30.
Customer advice:
Train services between Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington are diverting, running straight to Swindon.
There are currently very few services running through Bath Spa. Road transport is expected to operate from Bath Spa station from approximately 19:30. Customers at Chippenham are advised to travel to Swindon and change for diverted services to Bristol Temple Meads.
Limited options are available for customers at Chippenham. It has not been possible to source and meaningful road transport for customers travelling towards Bath Spa. Local buses are available for Swindon, from where customers can take train services to Bristol Temple Meads.
