Description

The local operational issue affecting services at Tyseley depot has been resolved. However, due to the duration of this issue, service recovery is taking longer than anticipated. As a result, trains in the Birmingham area may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 12:00.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:

  • Chiltern Railways between Birmingham Moor Street / Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa

  • Alternate West Midlands Railway services between

    • Birmingham Moor Street and Stratford-upon-Avon, via Solihull and Dorridge

    • Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa, via Solihull, Dorridge, and Warwick

    • Birmingham New Street and Kings Norton

  • National Express West Midlands via any reasonable route

  • Transport for Wales between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury

If you're travelling from Stratford-upon-Avon and Stratford Parkway to Birmingham, you can use the West Midlands Railway services which travel on an alternative route via Solihull and Dorridge, or change at Warwick/Warwick Parkway/Leamington Spa for Chiltern Railways services to/from Stratford-upon-Avon.

If you're travelling to Shirley and a rail journey isn't possible, you can travel on West Midlands Railway services to Kings Norton to connect with National Express West Midlands Bus Route 49 [South Birmingham] to Shirley station. (Note: direct bus services from Birmingham may offer a quicker journey).

If you chose to drive your car and park at a station on one of the routes below because of this disruption, your rail ticket will be valid to travel back to the same station later in the day to collect your car.
