Between Manchester Piccadilly / Birmingham New Street / Reading and Bournemouth

Description

A shortage of train drivers between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth means fewer trains are able to run between these stations. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.

This is expected until the end of the day.

To assist you with your journey, your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services and routes:

Between Birmingham and Reading / Southampton / Bournemouth via London:

  • Chiltern Railways services between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone

  • London Underground services between London Terminals. Please show your ticket to gateline staff on the Underground to be allowed through the ticket gates

  • Great Western Railway services between London Paddington and Reading / Oxford

  • South Western Railway services between London Waterloo and Bournemouth

Between Birmingham and Reading via Oxford:

  • CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Worcestershire Parkway

  • Great Western Railway services between Worcestershire Parkway and Reading

You may also use your ticket to travel on the following operators, at no extra cost:

  • Avanti West Coast services between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent

  • London Northwestern Railway services between Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford / Stafford and Birmingham New Street / Birmingham New Street and Coventry

  • West Midlands Railway services between Coventry and Leamington Spa

  • Great Western Railway services between Oxford - Reading and Basingstoke

You do not need to amend your ticket to use it on these services.

From Birmingham New Street (all operated by JKT):

  • 12:15 Birmingham New Street dropping off at Oxford and Basingstoke only

  • 15:15 Birmingham New Street dropping off at Oxford and Basingstoke only

  • 17:15 Birmingham New Street dropping off at Oxford and Basingstoke only

  • 17:30 Birmingham New Street direct to Stoke-on-Trent

  • 18:10 Birmingham New Street direct to Stoke-on-Trent

  • 19:10 Birmingham New Street direct to Stoke-on-Trent

From Oxford (all operated by HS2):

  • 20:00 Oxford calling at Banbury and Birmingham New Street only

  • 21:00 Oxford calling at Banbury and Birmingham New Street only

  • 22:30 Oxford calling at Banbury and then dropping off all stations to Birmingham New Street

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, then you can use your ticket on the two CrossCountry services operating before and the two CrossCountry services after your cancelled service.
