Description
A person has been hit by a train between Bournemouth and Weymouth. Whilst the emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 75 minutes or revised.
Additionally, with trains and staff out of place, some services between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier may be cancelled.
CrossCountry services to / from Bournemouth are not affected by this incident.
Major disruption is expected until 12:00.

In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the tracks has been switched off in the affected area. At this time we don't know when the lines between Poole and Weymouth are expected to reopen.
Long distance and mainline services:
All lines between Poole and Weymouth are currently blocked to allow the emergency services access to the track. As a result, the following alterations will be necessary:
Trains starting / finishing their journeys at Weymouth will now start / finish at Bournemouth
Stopping services running between Bournemouth and Poole will be cancelled
Trains running between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier may be cancelled
Some additional services will run between Dorchester South and Weymouth in both directions
South local services:
Some services running between Portsmouth and Southampton Central may be delayed by up to 20 minutes. This is due to crew displacement as a result of the ongoing incident and delays in the Bournemouth area

If you're travelling between Dorchester South and Bournemouth, you are advised to use alternative routes as listed below. South Western Railway have requested alternative transport which will shuttle between Bournemouth and Weymouth. These are due to be in place from around 09:15, but will not be running to a timetable
