Transport for Wales between Bridgend and Rhymney, between Ebbw Vale Town and Maesteg, between Milford Haven and Cardiff Central / Manchester Piccadilly, and also between Pembroke Dock and Cardiff Central

Description

A road vehicle has collided with a bridge between Bridgend and Cardiff Central, closing all lines running between these stations.

As a result of this, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes, diverted or revised.

This is expected until 17:00.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

You may use your ticket on Transport for Wales services between Carmarthen and Newport (South Wales) at no extra cost.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

You can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

  • First Cymru bus routes as follows:

    • 70 and 71 between Bridgend and Maesteg via Tondu

    • 74 and 76 between Bridgend and Sarn

    • X2 between Cardiff and Bridgend

  • Stagecoach bus routes as follows:

    • 64 between Bridgend and Pontyclun via Pencoed

    • 404 between Bridgend and Pontyclun via Pencoed and Llanharan
