Description

A person has been hit by a train between Norwich and Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft. Whilst the emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 22:00.

You may use your Greater Anglia ticket on the following alternative options at no extra cost.

  • First Bus Coastal Clipper 1 & 1A between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft

  • First Bus Coast Link X1 & X11 between Norwich and Great Yarmouth

  • First Bus Coast Link X2 & X22 between Norwich and Lowestoft


Rail replacement vehicles have been requested to run between Norwich and Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft but are not yet confirmed. At present, Greater Anglia do no expect them to be in place before 21:00, so please delay your journey until the buses are confirmed.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
