Description
An obstruction on the track in the Burgess Hill area means the lines towards Brighton is blocked. Trains running between Haywards Heath and Brighton may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 16:30.

Trains running to / from Brighton will experience delays of at least 30 minutes due to an obstruction on the track in the Burgess Hill area.

Gatwick Express services will run between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria only
Southern services which usually run between Littlehampton and London Victoria will divert via Horsham and will run to an amended stopping pattern. Please change at Brighton for onward connections
Thameslink services which usually run Brighton and Bedford will run as booked, but will see delays due to using a slightly alternate route
Thameslink services which usually run Brighton to Cambridge will run as booked, but with delays

There has been a report of an obstruction on the railway, and this is now causing some disruption to services. Your train may be held on approach to the area, or it may need to be terminated before it gets to this part of the network.
Network Rail staff will be attending to remove the obstruction as quickly as they can. Unfortunately, it's not possible to try to run trains past this.
